Final Fantasy XIV or otherwise known as FFXIV is the next installment in extremely popular FF series. FFXIV begins in its own new land with some features similar to FFXI. One such similar feature which is being carried forward to this new version is FF 14 Disciples of the Land.

The Disciples of the Land is a smaller group of the several crafting jobs for crafting fans in FFXIV. It allows players to select to gather items through out the entire Final Fantasy world. The Disciples of the land are divided into two classes Botanist and Miner.
Botanist means study of plants or biology of plants. They are experts with plants. Miners are the ones who work in mines to extract rares and valuable minerals. These two classes are extremely important.
Disciples of the Land work together with Disciples of the Hand, which can create items that other classes can consume. Jobs like Alchemist belong to this category. They are the class who can best benefit from items that Botanist will gather. This is a good feature from economic perspective. Another such combo is miner and blacksmith classes as they can work out together in similar fashion.
